This paper examined the effect of immunization done at 1-2 years on the early childhood health and primary school completion rate using World Bank data for 190 countries in 1980-2010. The effect of immunization to reduce child mortality is well demonstrated in lower income countries and Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia regions. Also, the effect of child immunization on primary school completion rate is significant in the middle low and low income countries, and Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia regions. Further analysis is required to identify the factors such as nutrition and prenatal care in addition to immunization which affect the child health differently in regions.
